HOW TO ENJOY OUR TEQUILA

You are about to embark on a pleasurable journey. Unlock all your emotions, your sense of touch, and your sense of smell. Liberate yourself to discover flavors, aromas, and sensations that you may or may not have encountered throughout your life.

Schedule an ideal time of day, two hours before or 3 hours after eating a meal. Find a comfortable environment such as a quiet location in your home, that you enjoy being in and that is free of foreign aromas. You can use a tequila glass, a shot glass (caballito) or preferably, we recommend the Tequila Riedel. Its design allows ideal delivery of Tequila aromas. Fill no more than one third of the glass and allow the Tequila to rest for 5 minutes before tasting, while it adapts to its environment in preparation to be honored for its nobility.

With a subtle firmness, grab the stem of the glass between your fingers. Make short gentle circular motions so that the Tequila runs down the glass, while observing how beautifully it descends down the sides, seducing you with it’s body and tears ready for your enjoyment. Notice against the light it’s shine, clarity, tone, and light body emitting harmonious elegance.

Depending on the Tequila you taste, we recommend that you review the corresponding sensory characteristics so that you can gradually identify them.

As you are making the circular motions, lower your face and place your nose at the opening of the glass, close your eyes, tilt your head to the right and inhale slow and deep. Concentrate on the aromas the Tequila is presenting you. Do the same on the left side and determine which side is more perceptive.

Now that the aromas have drawn you in and you have begun to decipher the taste, prepare to be surprised at the flavors you will discover. Take a sip of the Tequila, maintain and move it slowly throughout your mouth so that your tongue picks up the richness of the notes and your palate and cheeks detect its elegant sensations. Swallow slowly and identify the notes of the smooth transition through the mouth. Lastly, feel the pleasant finish that is left by this Tequila of great character.
